England Honours for Matthew and Craig
Leicestershire footballers gain England honours, Matthew Bryans and Craig Allen have been selected for the Football Association’s England Under 19s Learning Disabilities Squad. The two players recently attended a training weekend at Lilleshall National Sports Centre as part of a 25 strong squad, with all having aspirations of gaining selection into the final squad of 20. The players were put through their paces and both Matthew and Craig were absolutely delighted and honoured to have been selected in the final squad, which will be competing in the Home Countries Tournament, which is being held at Loughborough University, on the Cayley Pitches, over the Easter period.
Matthew is Captain for Leicester City Inclusive (Disability) Centre of Excellence. Matthew has achieved an FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification and supports his team at Loughborough College.
Craig plays for Leicester City Woodgate FC and represents Leicestershire and Rutland in the East Midlands Ability Counts League, where Craig plays for the Premiership Division team, Craig attends South Leicestershire College.
Entrance to all matches is free of charge and they will be played on the Cayley Pitches, at Loughborough University, where free parking is also available.
Thursday 21st April 4pm kick off England vs Republic of Ireland
Friday 22nd April 4pm kick off England vs Northern Ireland
Sunday 24th April 1.30pm kick off England vs Scotland

In May 2007 an Inclusive Football Partnership was established with 2 FA Charter Standard Football Clubs bringing together experienced coaching staff, in the provision of football for players with learning, behavioural, physical & sensory special needs / impairments / disabilities.
The Club provides a great opportunity for both males and females to take part in weekly football training sessions and play in the Leicestershire & Rutland Inclusive Football League, which takes place on a regular basis around the City and County.
Football is a great team sport and can offer players, a great way of having fun, learning new skills and enhancing health and well being, social and life skills and help to raise the self esteem of those players involved. Football for All takes place in a safe & friendly environment, where football provides a great opportunity for players to become a very valued Team and Club member.
All coaches are FA Qualified, 1st aid trained and FA CRB checked.
Training is held on Thursday evenings between 4:30pm and 6:00pm at St. Margarets Pastures Sports Centre, St. Margarets Way, Leicester, LE1 3EA.
