Disapointing Defeat

Leafield 2-0 LCLFC

Leicester City Ladies travelled to Solihull for the return match with close rivals in the division Leafield, earlier in the season the home fixture had been a turning point for the blues as they went on to a six game unbeaten however strangely enough Leafield would bring that run to an end in a disappointing team display.

Leafields tactic and organisation had Leicester City Ladies unbalanced and a slack team display gave the home team more and more confidence as the game went on.
It was 0-0 at half time and that flattered Leicester City Ladies.
Second half the away side fell apart an early penalty decision gave Leafield the lead and from there it was one way traffic.
Walton had a good header go just over but that was Leicester City Ladies only clear cut chance and in a frustrating and disappointing display Leafield wrapped the game up with ten minutes to play with a fine finish into the top corner.

Overall city were not at the races today and Leafield took huge advantage, Leicester City Ladies have to do better in three days time when league leaders Rotherham are back at Aylestone Park for the league cup quarter finals.
