FA Cup Victory

Leicester City Ladies carried on their FA Cup journey past Christmas for the second year running with an away win at East Midlands side AFC Trinity of Northampton.
Leicester City Ladies raced into a two goal lead through Hillier and Brant.
AFC Trinity pulled a goal back with a fine looping finish however straight from kick off Bateman got on the end of a cross to restore Leicester City Ladies two goal advantage.
AFC Trinity’s fighting spirit was commendable as a cup shock was on their minds and a well struck free kick gave them hope before the interval.
Second half Leicester City Ladies dominance told Hillier and Bateman found the net with fine finishes again to round off a tough cup tie in tough conditions.
Overall the game could and maybe should have been more comfortable for Leicester City Ladies but in the end the quality got the side over the finish line against a very tough and well organised AFC Trinity side.
