First team beat the leaders

Leicester City Ladies bounced back from the weekends disappointment in great style beating current league leaders Loughborough Students.
With five wins, one draw and a League Cup win to their name Loughborough Students were sure to be full of confidence but although there was some scares Leicester City Ladies dealt the league leaders their first reality check in their new division.
Leicester City Ladies took the lead on 20 minutes when a fine solo run down the right from Jodie White was capped off with a low drive across the keeper into the bottom corner.
Gemma Ball made it two with a very similar goal driving low across the keeper to make it 0-2.
Loughborough Students scored a fluke goal from an odd refereeing decisions to get them back into the game, when a long ball looped high into the net.
Leicester City Ladies regained their two goal advantage when Kim Walton had a shot deflected into the bottom corner of the goal to leave the score 3-1 up at the break.
The second half was hard work for Leicester City Ladies, Loughborough Students pulled it back to 2-3 and deservedly so as Leicester City Ladies were guilty of starting the second half slowly.
Sarah Marshall regained the two goal lead for Leicester City Ladies from the penalty spot, but again the game changed and Loughborough Students hit their third goal to make the last ten minutes a battle.
It was Leicester City Ladies who won that battle however and gained a vital three points, not the prettiest at times but the will to win from the away side was immense.
