First team beaten by leaders

LCLFC 0-2 Rotherham

Leicester City Ladies welcomed unbeaten league leaders Rotherham to Aylestone Park with a young side starting the game, and a spirited display was encouraging for the future of the club.

Rotherham were 2 up before the break and early goal which caused confusion from a corner found the net and penalty on half hour made it difficult for the home side.
Second half Leicester City Ladies rallied, but without carving out any clear cut chances all their efforts left them with no points but a very spirited display none the less.

After the game Manager Matt Cook commented “I am sure the league leaders realised they were in a game today, great credit goes to all the players against the unbeaten leaders.”
