Fourth Consectutive County Cup

Leicester City Ladies under 15s kicked-off their County Cup Final against Coalville Town Ravenettes and went on the attack two early chances fell to Connie and Niamh both went just wide.
Leicester City Ladies took the lead on eleven minutes when a ball down the right found Niamh who beat the left full back cut inside and shot past the keeper.
Coalville Town were competing well in midfield when on seventeen minutes Connie latched on to a cross to put Leicester City Ladies further ahead.
Leicester City Ladies were now starting to take control of the game with some fine attractive football just after the half hour Simran added a third goal and a minute later Niamh scored her second goal to make it four nill.
Coalville Town pulled a goal back just before half time.
The second half started with an early chance for Leicester City Ladies which the Coalville Town keeper saved well.
Play was mainly centred in the midfield with both teams compeating for every ball Coalville Town had a shot which was put behind for a corner.
Connie for Leicester City Ladies picked up a ball in midfied and beat the defence but put her shot wide of the post the game was nearing the end Leicester City Ladies gained a corner but it drifted behind for a goal kick there was no further score.

Point Maintains Second Spot

Leicester City Ladies remained a point ahead of their rivals Leafield Athletic as second met third in the Midland Combination League.
In a tight encounter Leicester City Ladies made the early running in the first half, chances were few and far between however.
Second half was more even with chances at both ends especially late
on. Catt in the Leicester City Ladies goal once again pulled off a fine save after a goal line scramble kept the game level.
Two flash crosses across the box for both teams still did not find the net and a stalemate game it was destined to be.
Overall a very tight encounter between two very much improved teams
from last season. Leicester City Ladies maybe had the most of the running but the clearer opportunities maybe fell to the visitors so both teams settle for a point with Leicester having to travel to Leafield next month.
Leicester City Ladies Player of the Match: Linda Scott

Vital Away Win

Leicester City Ladies sealed a vital away win at struggling Northampton Town by two goals to one.
On an awful playing surface with a strong swirling wind the game was bought into disrepute with three red cards and five yellows.
Concentrating on the football… Northampton Town battled from the start and made the early running, with playing conditions tricky both teams found if hard to move the ball well but is was the Cobblers who took the lead through a penalty just before the break.
Leicester City Ladies replied instantly as a great deliver from Kilby finally found Walton who finished well.
In the second half the game became less of a football match with cards and incidents all over the park. From a red card decision a Leicester City Ladies free kick from Kilby looped all the way in. With a player less Leicester City Ladies battled to hold on to their lead and with it go second in the league and into the play off spot.
Leicester City Ladies goalkeeper Cat once again proved herself to be the best in the league as she pulled of a superb save late on.
Leicester City Ladies have reach their highest position of the season and the clubs highest position for many years. Although the underdogs Leicester City Ladies are not going away from this promotion chase very easy.
Overall the game will sadly be remembered for incident rather than football, but looking beyond that a lot of Leicester City Ladies players although not all covered themselves in glory by their attitude and desire to win and do well for the club.
Leicester City Ladies Player of the match – Emily Hanrahan
However two big mentions to Waldron and Kilby who also hit top form.
