Mistakes cost First Team


Leicester City Ladies First Team were back at Aylestone Park after a weeks break and a spirited performance with seven squad players unavailable was pleasing to see, however Leicester City Ladies came away on the wrong end of a 2-3 result against Radcliffe Olympic.
Leicester City Ladies started the brighter but gave away the lead with mistakes across the 18 yard box leading to the visitors opener.
Leicester City Ladies fought hard to get level and on 25 minutes they were through a fine goal from Marshall.
Unfortunately mistakes gave the visitors another lead as a series of efforts lead to the ball going in off a Leicester City Ladies player into the roof of the net.
Leicester City Ladies needed half time and the interval seemed to give them back some fight , it was short lived however as Radcliffe Olympic netted from a corner on the hour mark.
The last half hour was all Leicester City Ladies, Kim Walton pulled back a goal with a great finish over the advancing goalkeeper and after numerous chances to level the game it just was not going to be Leicesters day.
By far Leicester City Ladies were the better side and a superb performance gives promise for the games to come. Radcliffe Olympic knew they were lucky to get anything let alone a win but that is football and Leicester City Ladies move on to the next game knowing performances like that will get points more often than not.
