Solid display gains a point

After a weekend off Leicester City Ladies first team travelled to Wolves for a tough away trip. Having beat Wolves 1-0 earlier at the year at Aylestone Park it was always going to be another tight game and so it proved to be.
Leicester City Ladies set up in a new shape and it was not suiting the home team who were playing direct to get beyond the midfield barrier.
After twenty minutes Leicester City Ladies started to take the ascendancy and apart from a few long balls picked up be keeper Crewe Leicester had the better of the ball and the chances although play around the box let them down on their final ball.
Second half Leicester City Ladies won a corner within seconds and the domination of the ball continued for large parts of the second half with the away side being clearly the better side. Emma, Ez, Kim and Jodie all had chances although not always clear cut chances Wolves rode their luck. The home side put in some decent wide play at times getting behind Leicester City Ladies causing them some problems.
Leicester City Ladies almost gained a lucky goal when a sliced kick in the six yard box from the Wolves defender spun wide of the post and a 0-0 stalemate it ended much to the frustration of the away side.
Overall Leicester City Ladies will feel they deserved to win but against a good side they kept a clean sheet and put in a solid display, a bit more luck and City may of got their win .
