Succesful Pre-Season for Under 12s

Leicester City Ladies under 12s have had a great pre-season remaining unbeaten in their three friendly games.
The first friendly saw Leicester City Ladies beat Braunstone Trinity Under 11s 6-1. New signing Jade opened her account with 5 cracking goals, with Foxy getting the 6th.
Next up Leicester City Ladies faced Oadby & Wigston Rovers who will be in our league this season. Despite missing five players for this game taking the field with the bare minimum of 7 players! The girls played brilliant football throughout the game and eventually won 8-1. Striker Jade scored another 6 goals, with Emily and Chloe getting the other two.
Leicester City Ladies final friendly was a tough test against a very good Bedworth team. This proved to be a very entertaining, end to end game with both teams playing really well. The game ended 5-5, Jade added another 3 goals to her already impressive tally and Lauren and Molly also got themselves on the score sheet with a goal each.
With such great performances in pre-season the team are all looking forward to getting the season 2011/2012 under way.

Town Twinning

Leicester City Ladies will be welcoming A S Musau from Strasboug for their sixth visit to Leicester as part of the town twinning exchange.
In its twelfth year the playing side of the visit will see Leicester City Ladies and A S Musau take on other sides from the Leicestershire Women’s Senior League in an 11-a-side tournament to be played at Aylestone Park on Sunday 21st August between 10.30am and 4pm.

First Team Update

Leicester City Ladies First Team have enjoyed a productive openning month of training with three games creating three wins.
On July 17th Leicester City Ladies traveled to Ilkeston and with Brant scoring a hat trick combined with further goals from Scott, Bateman, Ball, Hillier, Thomas and Burfourd resulting in an overwhelming 9-0 victory.
One week later Leicester Coty Ladies hosting Oxford United and in a close game played with a good spirit goals from Scott and Ball gave the home side another victory.
Leicester City Ladies first real test was on July 31st away to the MK Dons who has previosuly beaten Millwall Lionesses 3-1 a week prior. However two early goals from Hillier and Bateman gave Leicester City Ladies a good grip on the tie. MK Dons pulled one back before the break but Gemma Ball finished from close range to seal the victory 3-1 with ten minutes to play.
With games still to come against Corby Town, Shepshed and Sheffield FC there is still work to be done with a view to what will be a tough Midlands Combination season. However congratulations to the new squad on a great start to their 2011/12 journey.
