Second Pre Season Victory

Oxford United have been notable climbers in the women’s pyramid of late and finally making their move into Combination Division, this would be a good test for Leicester City Ladies.
Oxford United nearly took the lead from a quick counter attack only to see a close range shot go over.
Later on a cross ball from Brant found its way all the way into the back post to give Leicester City Ladies the lead.
Second half saw Leicester City Ladies have more decent control of the game. Although not a perfect display City’s second goal was a joy to watch as a fine passing move starting all the way from goalkeeper to midfield runner Kilby with a cool finish.
Leicester now face a tougher task at Coventry in their next warm up match

Pre Season off to Winning Start

After frustrating weather conditions Leicester City Ladies finally played the first match of their pre season with the visit of Barnsley.
Equal standard to Leicester City Ladies in the division to our right they gave a good start. The game was played in good spirit and it was the visitors who took the lead with a fine finish.
Leicester City Ladies responded quickly as Gemma Ball sneaked in the box to head home over the advancing keeper.
In a pretty equal game, although Leicester City Ladies looked the most likely to score, but it was cruel on the visitors as a long defensive clearance from debutant Conrad bounced over the visiting keeper to earn City the win .
Overall a good run out and a lot of lessons to be learned.
