Leicester City Ladies Under 13s League Champions 2012-13Leicester City Ladies Under 13s managed to successfully defend their league winners crown from last year with a game to spare by beating Leicester City 2010 in a tight game.
Leicester City Ladies went into the game knowing that a draw would be enough to see them crowned as champions. The game started at a fast pace with both teams looking up for the challenge. Leicester City Ladies looked dangerous going forward and Jade was a constant threat from the right wing. With 20 minutes gone Leicester City Ladies took the lead when a ball over the top was misjudged by the 2010 defender and goalkeeper leaving space for Jade to nip in and slot the ball home. Leicester City Ladies defence of Shania, Beth and Eleni looked solid and were giving 2010 little room to create anything. Leicester City Ladies could have increased their lead when Foxy played a cheeky back heel to Jade who struck just wide of the post. 2010 themselves had a chance but Leicester City Ladies goalkeeper Viv got down well and saved at the strikers feet.
Half Time: Leicester City Ladies 2010 0 Leicester City Ladies 1
2010 came out fired up in the second half and started the better of the two teams. Leicester City Ladies were still looking good on the break and Lauren played a fantastic through ball to Jade who just lacked a little composure in front of goal. 2010 did put some pressure on Leicester City Ladies with a succession of corners and throw ins but Leicester City Ladies stood firm and defended solidly as a team.
