First Team Remain Unbeaten

Leicester City Ladies made the long trip north to Curzon Ashton Ladies and returned home still unbeaten. Pace was always causing the home team problems but it was a long throw which Hillier forced over the line that gave City the lead. Curzon Ashton equalised early in the second half but Leicester City Ladies pressed for the three points, great work from Scott and a pull back to Bateman who fired home made it 1-2.
Some back to the walls was needed late on to keep out a battling Curzon Ashton side but City stood strong and secured a superb away win.
Overall Leicester City Ladies can feel they deserved there three points as they limited Curzon Ashton to high balls or direct play and made clear cut chances at the other end. Leicester City Ladies manager Matt Cook commented after the game “We haven’t done well on these long away trips before so was nice to break the trend, I couldn’t ask much more from them, they thoroughly deserve their unbeaten record and the club cannot ask much more from my players with the start they have made.”
