The Mary Rudkin Trophy & Foundation

The Mary Rudkin Foundation was introduced at the AGM in May 2018, LCLFC members were asked to nominate a club member who during the season reflected Mary’s spirit by their actions and words.

Mary’s commitment to LCLFC over the years as a player, coach, committee member, mentor and a friend to so many was beyond belief and she will be missed by so many: but never forgotten.

There were 6 nominees for the Trophy in 2020.

Emily Hayden, Jade Hadley-Cambell and Macey Ball from the 2019/20 under 17s who all showed commitment and dedication in a range of ways to the team and the club,

Caitlin Bambrick u10s last season was dedicated to the team as captain and supported the club by fundraising.

Matt Cook who heads up football for the club, engaged everyone in his Facebook shows connecting with our French twins too and raising the money to keep the club going through the first lockdown.

Allayah Clarke from he u12s Foxes 2019/20 has been with the club since being a Wildcat. she is a skilful, talented player who has overcome all her hearing issues to be an integral part of mainstream football and has been selected to play for England in disability football. She supports every club event.

The Foundation

The latest veteren’s game in Otober 2020 raised £500 for the Mary’s chosen charity Gift for a Lift.
