Third Win and Clean Sheet in a Row

Leicester City Ladies continued their climb up the table with a third win in a row.  City were at unbeaten Loughborough Foxes in their quest for win number three in a row.
Kayleigh Hillier pounced on a loose ball in the box to give the visitors the lead. Leicester City Ladies played some superb football in the first half combined with a solid approach.
Second half Foxes started the brighter and looked the more likely to score and Leicester City Ladies had to weather the storm and defend numerous corners with bravery, the back two of Ball and Burbidge were superb for the visitors. Leicester City Ladies goalkeeper
Catt then pulled of a fantastic close range save and from there on in City’s discipline was superb to take away a fine away win.
Leicester City Ladies are getting back on track now after numerous absences Manager Matt Cook commented “obviously there’s a long way to go and three wins in a row doesn’t make a season but people probably don’t realise how depleted we were in the summer and the players have kept together playing with 10 or 11 players sometimes waiting for the squad to grow. To come off the back of that and the tough start we had its credit to the players character and commitment that they have got themselves moving up the table.”
