Three Points Secured in Style


After two good solid away draws to Wolves and Radcliffe City were still in the mix for the top six and points are vital with all the top teams playing one another. Two draws against third and fourth in the league on the road prior to this game would only be a plus if Leicester City Ladies could seal three points today and they did that in good style.
Leicester City Ladies were two up in the first half goals from Walton and Scott who played as a new front line gave Leicester the ascendancy.
TNS came out strong second half and the long ball was causing Leicester City Ladies some problems. Walton netted her second from a fine looping header over the advancing keeper to make it three before Leicester City Ladies shot themselves in the foot by conceding a goal within four minutes to give the visitors hope.
Leicester City Ladies got back in control of the game and Walton sealed her hat trick and City’s fourth to round off a fine win.
